So my mom is now 3 years out but she has so many issues from her mastectomy and chemo. Her hormones are way out of whack and it just seems like she’s aging very quickly. Anyone else notice this? I guess I feel like once they’re in remission, life is supposed to be peachy but there are complications and new issues that arise that no one addresses. Just frustrates me a bit because I don’t want to sound ungrateful but I am frustrated that people just assume everything is easy now.

My dad was only recently pronounced cancer free but I can still the lasting effects of his chemo. I definitely hope he improves but it does make me sad that his treatment also is debilitating. Like you, I also try to keep in mind that he is healthy but it certainly is frustrating that they are not left unscarred both emotionally and physically.
